First Day

Ryan didn't get a chance to call on Monday night until 10:45pm. It was a really long day, and unfortunately we didn't get to talk for longer than a couple of minutes. He did say that there was a lot of yelling and a lot of filling out paperwork. It sounded like a pretty stressful day.
I asked how he liked his roommates, and he said his first impression of them was good. Today I'm praying specifically that God would strengthen Ryan mentally and that the transition into academy life would be a smooth as possible.

Hopefully I'll get some more details tonight!

Hey Ryan -

I was trying to picture your day yesterday from the video we saw. Sounds like quite a challenge already! Good thing you're a tough guy and well up to the task. I have no doubt you'll do well. Katrina said her dad (a sheriff) told her what a difficult training it was and what an awesome career you will have because of it. So woth it!

You are surrounded by prayers and much missed here! I'm praying for some good friends for you. You know we're here for K & S. Karissa is the best support system you could have and your #1 fan - and we're close behind! Love you lots, honey. Hang in there. Mom

Hey Ry, it sounds like your first day was a long one! Hope today is a little shorter for you.
Praying for the early makings of a friendship or two for you.
Must be tough to get used to all the yelling. I told mom that we should have yelled at you more when you were growing up to help with this transition.
Love, Dad
